Known Issues

RIM/Blackberry Installation. When trying to install IntelliGolf onto the Blackberry, if you get the message "No applications designed for your device were found" or "The Blackberry Desktop Software does not have Blackberry Device Software for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator." please visit http://www.intelligolf.com/faqDB/faq.asp#r02 for the solution.

RIM/Blackberry Pearl. Version 4.2.1 (or higher) of RIM's operating system for the Blackberry is required to run IntelliGolf properly on the Pearl. In prior OS versions, RIM had an issue with properly displaying some menu items using the ChoiceGroup Exclusive command. Within IntelliGolf, this causes a problem with switching between Male and Female and selecting Hdcp Type in the Player set-up screen, and Par to Win in the Greenies sidegame, etc. To download RIM's latest operating system for your Pearl, please visit your carrier's web site. Note: As of May 23, 2007 we understand that ATT/Cingular should be shipping version 4.2.1 in the near future. Please contact ATT/Cingular for more information.

Motorola Q 9c/h/m and Samsung Blackjack II: The IntelliGolf Eagle edition version 9.x for Windows Mobile-based Smartphones works very well with the embedded GPS chip in the Motorola Q 9c/h/m and the Samsung Blackjack II. The COM port issue that both companies products exhibited using IntelliGolf version 8.x has been overcome in IntelliGolf version 9.x. For more on these phone's previous COM Port issue, please click here. All works great now in the IntelliGolf Eagle edition version 9.x software.

Nokia N95: The new IntelliGolf Eagle OTA edition for Nokia (version 8.33.14 or greater) does support the embedded GPS chip in N95. Please visit http://www.intelligolf.com/dieaglenk_ota.asp for more information. Also, please read the FAQ in the Nokia section on using the integrated GPS chip in the N95 with IntelliGolf. It can be found at http://www.intelligolf.com/faqDB/faq.asp#n02

Cingular / Nokia E62: If you install IntelliGolf onto a Cingular brand (only) of Nokia E62 smartphones you may get at "authorization failed" notice. That is because Cingular has implemented a security scheme on the E62 that only allows Cingular certified applications to be installed on the Cingular brand E62's. IntelliGolf will install and run fine on all other Nokia E62 (non-Cingular) based phones.

Nokia E61/E62/E70: In "decimal" point designated fields (e.g. Handicap Index, Wagering amount, etc), Nokia's E61/E62/E70 smartphones do not recognize the entry of decimal points. This issue has been reported to Nokia and acknowledged by Nokia. Until this issue is fixed by Nokia, you will need to enter integer numbers into these IntelliGolf fields.

  2. After installing Internet Explorer 7.0, I get an error when trying to download IntelliGolf courses.
There is a bug in IE 7.0. Version 8.2 includes a fix for this issue. To upgrade to version 8.2 please click here.
  3. IntelliGolf is not syncing on my Windows Mobile 5.0 device with error=2.
IntelliGolf must be installed to main memory and NOT a memory card on the handheld device.
  4. After installing IntelliGolf on my Windows Mobile 5.0 device to main memory it is still not syncing.
If you are having a problem syncing IntelliGolf it is probably because your desktop firewall settings are not allowing IntelliGolf desktop and IntelliGolf handheld software to communicate using the sockets network protocol. You will need to disable the desktop firewall or configure the desktop firewall to allow IntelliGolf and ActiveSync to communicate over port 2048.
  5. What edition of IntelliGolf do I need for my Windows Mobile 5.0 device, Pocket PC or Smartphone?
If your Windows Mobile device has a touch screen then you need the Pocket PC edition of IntelliGolf.
If your Windows Mobile device does not have a touch screen then you need the Smartphone edition of IntelliGolf.
