PalmPilot Golfers Improve Game and Winning

Seattle, Washington, March 24, 1998 - Karrier Communications, marketers of "sports enhancing software", today announced version 3.0 of the IntelliGolf electronic scorecard software for use on the 2 million 3COM PalmPilots and IBM WorkPads sold. IntelliGolf version 3.0 adds the ability to: 1) collect and analyze key Performance Statistics in over 37 golf categories, 2) selectively synchronize golf round information locally and on the Internet, and 3) place "on course" wagers in local currencies using any of the 17 included games (e.g. Skins).

"IntelliGolf has been purchased for use in 24 countries through out the world," said Craig A. Schmidt, president of Karrier Communications. "Since it's introduction in 1997, golfers have been asking us to add Performance Statistics to help them improve their game. Version 3.0 adds those capabilities".

Using a PalmPilot with IntelliGolf, up to four golfers can enter scores using the handheld's stylus, or a golf tee, just as a pencil and score card would be used today. At any time, golfers can review their score, winnings, and round statistics via intuitive on-screen graphs.

"Great software package," said Randy Moss of Bend, Oregon. "I thought it would be difficult to use during the actual round, however I found it quicker than the good old pencil and paper scorecard. Job well done!"

Two editions of IntelliGolf are immediately available. The Par edition includes the handheld software for round scoring, wagering and the collection of statistical data. The Birdie adds Windows 95/NT software for round archival, score card printing, Internet course uploads/downloads, and the ability to view Performance Statistics for each golfer.
