IntelliGolf® Tournament edition software introduced for Palm handhelds
Cameron Park, California, June 29, 2001 - Karrier Communications, marketers of sports enhancing software, today announced the new IntelliGolf Tournament edition scoring software for Palm handhelds and compatibles. The Tournament edition software tabulates scores and wagers for golf tournaments and/or group golf outings consisting of 2 to 255 players on multiple Palm handhelds. Golfers simply beam their IntelliGolf-created scorecard to a Tournament-enabled handheld as they return to the clubhouse. The Tournament edition software automatically creates a sorted Leader Board showing Net and Gross (i.e. handicap adjusted) scores and tabulates cross-group wagers in seconds. The IntelliGolf Tournament edition software works in conjunction with the electronic scorecard capabilities contained in the IntelliGolf Par and/or Birdie edition v5.1 software. Golfers simply beam their IntelliGolf scorecard to a Tournament-enabled Palm handheld for tabulation. All scores are automatically sorted and displayed in Leader Board format. Tournament directors can select to use full handicaps, no handicaps or handicap differentials for scoring. Flights and/or groups can also be created.
