IntelliGolf® Introduced for Windows-based PCs and Laptops
Cameron Park, California, July 13, 1999. Karrier Communications, marketers of IntelliGolf: Golf's #1 "on course" scoring system software for palm-size computers, today announced the IntelliGolf Desktop edition for use on Windows® 95, Windows 98 and Windows NT-based PCs and laptops. The new Desktop edition provides menu-driven screens for golfers to enter, collect and track game-improving statistics, approximate their handicap, download courses from the Internet, and keep historical records on drive lengths, putting percentages and round scores. A free 3-round trial version is available at www.intelligolf.com. A special $19.95 introductory price is offered through September 1999. List price $29.95.
"Since the introduction of IntelliGolf for the Palm Computing platform in 1997 we've had many requests to release a Windows-only version for non-Palm owners," said Craig A. Schmidt, president of Karrier Communications. "There are now 26 million golfers in the USA; 22.7 million golfers internationally; and approximately 4.5 million palm owners. That leaves 44.2 million golfers without an available IntelliGolf solution, until today," he said.
