CTIA - IntelliGolf® "Birdie edition" Golf Software Ships for Sony Ericsson P800/900/910 Smartphones
Cameron Park, California, October 25, 2004 - Karrier Communications, marketers of Sports Enhancing Software, today announced the shipment of the new IntelliGolf® Birdie edition golf scoring software for Sony Ericsson P800, P900, and P910 smartphones. The IntelliGolf Birdie edition is the only golf software for Symbian OS-based smartphones to include 1) on-course golf scoring and wagering, 2) Windows-based desktop software, and 3) Synchronization software all-in-one. IntelliGolf is immediately available from resellers listed at www.intelligolf.com. List price: $39.95.
"Golfers have already downloaded over 25,000 copies of the earlier-released IntelliGolf Par edition [handset only] software." said Craig A. Schmidt, president of Karrier Communications. "These customers have been asking for the Birdie edition [handset, desktop, and sync] software since day one. We are pleased that it is now shipping."
Golfers use the included IntelliGolf smartphone software to automate 'on course' golf scoring, wagering, and statistics gathering for their entire foursome. Hole-by-hole scores, wagers, and basic statistics can be viewed at any time on the P800/900/910. After the Round, IntelliGolf's new synchronization software uploads results to the included Windows-based desktop software. Color performance charts and graphs, detailed statistics, and handicap projections can be viewed on any Windows-based PC. Screen shots are located at http://www.intelligolf.com/p800tour.asp.
The IntelliGolf Birdie edition now supports wireless and desktop access over 19,250 digital scorecards via the Internet. Each 18-hole scorecard includes hole yardages, par ratings, hole handicaps, and course information. Scorecards can be downloaded from the IntelliGolf database to the included desktop software and then synchronized to the golfer's smartphone. This saves users up to 300 key stokes per Round. Course downloads are free to IntelliGolf customers. Competing products charge up to $19.95 per course download. Manual scorecard entry is a thing of the past with IntelliGolf.
